On April 8 within the frameworks of Armenia-Morocco Business Forum the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan met with Mina Tounsi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco, Honorary Consul Mehdi Laraki and a group of Moroccan businessmen. The Head of the PAP Faction Naira Zohrabyan also attended the meeting.

Welcoming the guests in the National Assembly Mrs Naghdalyan expressed hope that the visit will open a new page in the friendly relations of the two countries and the steps to be initiated in future will promote the activation of the political and inter-party dialogue between Armenia and Morocco. The NA Deputy Speaker has highlighted the necessity of the activation of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, underlining that the parliamentary diplomacy with its flexibility can boost the solution of numerous problems. She has emphasized the holding of Armenia-Morocco Business Forum, noting that it is a good opportunity for the businessmen to get acquainted with the economic situation of the two countries and the possibilities of bilateral cooperation.

Naira Zohrabyan also has touched upon the development of the inter-parliamentary relations, expressing hope that the Ambassador and the Consul will practically support in the strengthening of those ties.

Mina Tounsi and Mehdi Laraki approved their readiness of promoting the activation and the development of the bilateral inter-parliamentary ties and the deepening of inter-state relations. In this context, the sides spotlighted the creation of the friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries and the women MPs’ cooperation.

During the meeting the sides referred to the NK problem, the Armenian Genocide Centennial, the regional problems, the cooperation also in the spheres of tourism and culture.
